Vista is ticking me off! Empty Vista is ticking me off!

Woo! First non-site related post.

There's a folder on my Vista desktop that I'm trying to get rid of. However, every time I try to delete it, Vista whines about me not having the right to do so. I'm the only user on this machine, so I do have Admin rights.

What gives?

EDIT: Issue Resolved. I've just about had it with Windows.

I sometimes have the same problem with XP (I'm not allowed, have no access to delete it). But Vista? Oh my...I almost felt like blowing the PC up because of it. Nothing I have works on either 32-Bit nor 64-Bit versions.

The only reason I haven't turned to Linux is because Windows is easy to use. And likes games, while Linux despises them.

So, what OS will you use now? Razz

I made the decision a few days ago to finally lay XP to rest. If you check my CH profile page, you'll see that my computer is just too powerful for XP and I need a 64-bit system.

EDIT:
And even now, less than 48 hours later, I'm considering going back to XP.

PeerGuardian doesn't work, Deamon Tools doesn't work, Vista has already corrupted my Mass Effect files, and the last time I used FRAPS, I got a BSOD.

How has anyone not managed to punch all the Microsoft Developers yet? Vista is completely useless!

I agree, Vista is useless. dash
I have instaled it, used it for 24h and then I deleted it and got back to XP.

@AdmiralThrawn: If you can't play Mass Effect, delete Vista immediately and go back to XP. Mass Effect is worth it. hail

I removed Vista after 2 hours of using it. The only good side of Vista is that it allows 4 gigs of RAM which I can't have on XP.

Mass Effect is worth XP, true. But I manged to put a stop to the data corruption, which is nice.

At the moment, I only have two things that make want to toss my computer in the pool, and neither will kill me if I don't use them for a few days.

I have XP 32-bit and 4 gigs of RAM. XP only allows 3.6 gigs.

There's more to it than looks. Check my CH profile (click the website link on my profile), and you'll see why I'm pretty much restricted to a 64-bit system.
